Register of the beneficial owner of corporations

From January 1, 2018, legal entities have a new obligation to enter the data about their beneficial owners into register newly established for this purpose. This register will not be publicly available.

The legal entities entered in the commercial register must fulfill this obligation by 1 January 2019 at the latest, all others by 1 January 2021 at the latest. A special form will be used for the application, which will be available on the website of the Ministry of Justice from 1 January 2018. Until 1 January 2019, there are no fees for entering the data into the register.
