Priority in the roundabout

Since 1 January 2016, new rules of priority in the roundabout came in force. While hitherto always those vehicles had to give priority which came to the roundabout, it is now also possible that the vehicles in the roundabout have to give priority to entering traffic.

So far was every roundabout in the Czech Republic provided with a priority mark, so that the incoming vehicles always had to give priority to those in the roundabout. According to the new rules, the priority marks at roundabouts are not mandatory. At the roundabout without priority mark is given priority to entering traffic.

The amendment thus does not affect the basic rules of priority in the roundabout, but only for the use of priority mark.
