New Sanction for Employers for Breaching the Duty of Keeping Certain Documents

According to the provision of Sec. 136 Subsection 1 of the Act No. 435/2004 Coll., on Employment, employer shall keep copies of documents that prove the existence of employment relationship.

 If the employer does not fulfil this obligation, a fine amounting up to 500.000,- CZK may be imposed.

 The employer does not have to fulfil this obligation if he announces to the Social Security Administration the day of commencement of the employment of the employee that establishes the participation of the employee on sickness insurance.
