29.10.2013

Thanks to Raffaele Torino from Bussoletti Nuzzo & Associati Avvocati, our partner law firm from Warwick Legal Network, Oldřich Baroch had the opportunity to lecture on International Construction Contracts for graduate students in the Master’s program „Business and Company Law: European and Comparative Perspectives“ at LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome on October 25, 2013.

The lecture took 6 hours and a range of issues was discussed – from the existence of international construction contracts through guidelines and international contract forms prepared by international organizations, both governmental and non-governmental, types of construction contracts and structure of project construction to selected issues from the construction contracts such as scope and quality of works, price, penalties, damages and disputes resolution. The lecture gave the students the basic overview about the construction contracts in international practice and could serve as the starting point for further study of this interesting field of law.
