Increase of Minimal Wage since 1st January 2017

The Government of the Czech Republic has enacted a regulation that changes the regulation No. 567/2006 Coll., on the minimum wage.

With effect as of 1st January 2017 the minimum wage for the weekly working hours in the extent of 40 hours will be increased from CZK 9.900 monthly to CZK 11.000 monthly or from CZK 58,70 hourly to CZK 66 hourly. With regard to this change, the lowest rates of guaranteed wage, under which the various work-categories are graduated and valued according to the complexity, responsibility and laboriousness, will also be increased.

At the same time the special minimal wage for the employees with the disability pension will be repealed. Since 1st January 2017 there will be just one minimum wage / the lowest rates of guaranteed wage for all employees.
