The new civil code changes the regulation of delay interests in the civil legal relations (among not entrepreneurs), when it brings the possibility of delay interests arranging in a different tariff than arranged by legal regulation, which was until today excluded. Since 1^st January it is possible to arrange the height of delay interests in every case, it means without respect, that it refers to relations between entrepreneurs and not entrepreneurs.

If it does not happen to the agreement in arranging of delay interests, the new government order nr. 351/2013 Coll. determines its height. The government order determines the tariff of delay interests per year in the height of repo rates set by the Czech National Bank for the first day of the calendar half-year, in which came to the delay, increased for 8 percent points. The legal tariff of delay interests makes in this calendar half-year 8,05 %.

The another news is the possibility of delay interests to be arranged not only by a debt principal, but also by debt interests.
