On 1^st July 2016 a new law concerning the register of contracts becomes effective. Spirit and purpose of the register is to release contracts, which are the basis for disposing of public estate. Redemptive Easements

One of the new institutes included in the new Civil Code is the so-called redemption of certain easements. It is an example for an old, in our legal culture already known and now reanimated institute, which was not regulated in the legal system for 65 years. Redemption means, that the easement can be cancelled by the property’s owner disbursing a certain amount of money to the obligee.

Real Estate Transfer Tax

On 1st June 2016 the House of Deputies passed an amendment of the prescription 340/2013 Col. concerning the real estate transfer tax. The amendment includes important changes, who are specified below. Nevertheless it has to be mentioned, that the amendment was not fully accepted, as the Senate and the president still have to decide on it. As already mentioned before, a new law concerning the register of contracts becomes effective on 1^st July this year (http://www.baroch-sobota.cz/en/register-of-contracts).

The Ministry of the Interior did now prepare a methodical introduction for the use of this law. It is a first abstract of this document, which can be completed and changed afterwards.
