Value Added Tax Control Report

An amendment to Act No. 235/2004 Coll., on Value Added Tax, came into effect on 1^st January 2016. This amendment introduces the obligation of the taxpayers to send a control report to the tax administrator.

An Amendment to Consumer Protection Act

An amendment to Act No. 634/1992 Coll., consumer protection act, came into effect.

On the basis of this amendment the seller (i.e. a businessman who sells a consumer goods or provides services) is obliged to state under the purchase offer the following essential information (if they are not apparent from the context):

-          main characteristics of the product or the service;
